Look who is retiring!
After 26 years of dedicated service, Sims Bostic, Sr. District Executive is retiring from the Boy Scouts of America.  Sims has served the Ronotohachi District (serving Lamar, Pike, Spalding and Upson Counties) for more than 5 years.  On Friday, May 11, 2012 the Flint River Council will be hosting a "drop-in" reception for Sims from 4:00 PM till 6:00 PM.  Please come by the Scout Office and join us in wishing Sims the best in his future endeavors.  We will also have a memory box for you to leave your well-wishes, cards and any special mementos you would like to give Sims to help him remember his time at the Flint River Council.

I Sold 20 Camp Cards!
Once a Scout sells 20 Camp Cards, register here for the Camp Scholarship Drawings!  Registration for the drawings automatically registers a Scout to receive their FREE Camp Thunder Cinch Pack.  You only need to register once to be eligible for all subsequent drawings.

Our Military Kids
"Our Military Kids" is an organization that provides substantial support in the form of grants to the children of National Guard and Military Reserve personnel who are currently deployed overseas as well as the children of Wounded Warriors in all branches.  We have learned the many camps offered by Flint River Council qualifies for these grants.  Examples of qualifying camps are Cub Scout Day Camp, Traditional Boy Scout Camp, Winter Camp and Cub & Webelos Resident Camps.  For more information about "Our Military Kids" and to get an application, click here
