New Scout Lodge
Congratulations to the Scouts from Peachtree City United Methodist Church on their completion of the brand new Scout Lodge. With the help of community and church leaders, this 3 year project was a success. They held an open house August 10 for the community to see what an awesome job they had done.
Roundtable - COME HAVE A BLAST!!!!
We invite all leaders, parents, and volunteers to Fayette County’s monthly meetings, which are held every 3rd Thursday of the month, 7 pm at First Baptist Church of Fayetteville. These meetings are very informative. We cover questions on both district and council events and activities. We provide the opportunity to fellowship, share ideas, train, and get a break from the kids. Now who can resist that? Your unit may even have the chance to win the “Traveling Trophy”. WHAT’S THAT? Come to roundtable to find out. It is critical that at least 1 representative from each unit attend these meetings. We would even suggest that leaders alternate with each other.

If you missed the opportunity to participate in the show and sell, don’t panic because we are placing orders ON Monster Monday, October 27, at the Atlanta Bread Company in Peachtree City (located in the Avenue). Don’t make it easy, give your boys the opportunity and challenge to earn their way through Scouting.
Friends of Scouting
We will KICK-OFF the 2009 campaign October 16 at Fayetteville First Baptist. You will also learn about all of our new upgrades and AWESOME programs provided at the Gerald I. Lawhorn Scouting Base. Each unit is expected to designate an FOS Chair. Training for this position is scheduled October 19.
