Cub Scout Adventure Camp

Travel back in time to early American history!  You never know who you might find leading your classes.  It could be Honest Abe, George Washington, Pocahontas, Susan B. Anthony, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Sacajawea and more!  Learn from those that were there experiencing the adventure of establishing the United States of America.

Join Paul Revere and the Sons of Liberty at their secret lunch time planning sessions.  Enjoy hiking and nature lessons with Sacajawea as she shares her knowledge of the Pine Mountain Back Country and Lawhorn Scouting Base.  Ask Abraham Lincoln why he grew that beard and see if the rumors are true about 11 year old Grace Bedell convincing him to grow it.  Live American History in the making!

Note:  One parent/guardian from each family must attend with the Scouts for this camp.

This fun summer camp is a chance for Cub Scouts (rising 1st, 2nd, & 3rd graders) to earn belt loops and do other fun activities at Camp Thunder.  Scouts will be able to participate in swimming, shooting sports, nature activities, outdoor skills, arts & crafts, and more! 
This is a great opportunity for Scouts and their parents to spend time together outdoors and get a taste of what they can look forward to as they progress in Scouting and eventually spend a week at Thunder as a Boy Scout. 

Check-in starts at 2:00 pm on Friday, July 19th

All meals will be served in our air conditioned dining hall

Check-out will be after lunch on Sunday, July 21st

All of this adventure for only $100 per Scout and $30 per leader/parent

Note: Each participant (Webelos & Adults) must have a completed BSA Health & Medical Form, Parts A & B to turn in upon arrival.  

Part C requires an examination by a physician using the BSA form.
